The Administrative Portal allowed various school district administrators to facilitate mandatory summative and formative statewide assessments for K-12 students. The online administration system was a product developed to align with a wide range of Users with various levels of technical knowledge, career experience, and dexterity issues.
Problem Statement
Historically, state assessments involve hundreds of hours for preparation and physical administering to students, along with an equal amount of data collection and manual reporting of annual results. District and School administrators are generally elderly, lower skilled, with very limited knowledge and understanding of computer and system operations. They are usually assigned as the resources who maintain the process and systems allowing teachers to facilitate and proctor the assessments. Many hours of organization and training create a vast amount of overhead for schools, draining state education budgets.
Solution
While online systems have been created in the past, they were highly customized to the individual school staff who administered the tests, collecting data, and delivering reports to education officials. By creating a uniform process flow and product offering for K-12 educators, we were able to increase efficiency and speed of delivery by administrators by introducing a friendly and easy to use online system.
